Default Attaching gif file

I want to if there is there any option to attach a *.gif file in to a dwg file. As I want like for example, when I add a gif into a coloured autocad background you create a transparent gif image background so you can just see the graphics without a white box surrounding the image. I'd like to know if someone has successfully done this and how? I am not able to do this. Thanks in advance.

You can use Transparency command in AutoCAD to turn it on. It controls whether background pixels in an image are transparent or opaque. Select an image, right-click in the drawing area, and click Image >Transparency.
Cheers!
