Exclamation Auto CAD lt 2008 problem editing proxy objects

We have sent dwgs created in Turbocad V14 to a client using autocad lt 2008. He can open files but can not edit them. He gets messages regarding proxy object. What can he do so that he can edit the drawings?

Mike,

I'm having exactly the same problem. I have posted a similar message to yours on the Turbocad forum. Will let you know what happens.

Mike,

Try the following:

Save drawing as tcw for amendments, convertion etc

Explode the tcw drawing. (You may need to do this more than once)

Save the exploded drawing as a dwg

Send a pdf as a "check drawing" to ensure that nothing has been lost in translation.

This seems the best solution so far unless someone else knows better.

Regards

Alex

After exploding - Select All and place on workplane.
