Dimensions not associated

I’m using the "sectionplane" command to generate my sections through 3D Solids which in all honesty seems to be working just fine.My problem lies in the dimensioning of the 2D blocks generated by "sectionplane", when I update the block due to changes my dimensions don’t follow my block in other words they are no longer associative.

I’ve checked my Auto cad variable DIMASSOC and its set at 2. Is there a way to make my dimensions follow?
