XRef locks up?

Hi,
I am using ACAD 2007 and I am trying to bind several XRefs into a plan sheet dwg. When I try right click the XRefs and click bind, a window pops up with either bind or insert. I select bind and then it asks me if I really want to do this. And then when I hit yes and enter autocad locks up on me? any suggestions on what is going with the XRefs.

Hi,
Run "audit" at the drawing being bind or insert to your master drawing and update all files being binded into 2007 format. It is time consuming task, but is the only way I know.
