Default xref security
I have five main production drawings I use as xref. I want to make sure that no one can alter them by mistake. Security options will allow me to password it, but carries through all the drawings. This I do not want, people still have to view them. Do I have any other option.

Set the dwg files as 'read only' in the window explorer.
