Error: OSM_GE003 - Data Storage Initialization What is this one??

Opening a file sent over to us for work, is shows to be V5 R17 SP0 in the "Notepad". Anyone know what this is and how to fix it? Tried the search already.

which release of CATIA are you running?

That's the problem. CATIA will never let you open a file that was made in a newer (higher) release level than what you are running.

Since you have R16, you can only open files that are R16 or lower. Not R17 or higher.

You could upgrade your system to be compatible with whoever sent the work to you.

Or, they can use the Downward Compatibility utility program to convert their file from R17 to R16.
