help with sheetmetal on 3d model

hi all
av been creating a 3d desgin in the maya 8 base, now i need to import it to catia, apply the dimensions and put on sheetmetal on it and then obtain unfolded view of the sheet metal to get the required amount material.
suggestion on how to best to do the above will be helpful, i av a relatively ok expireince in catia
but mainly i need to no how to import maya file to catia since am not able to get it in iges in maya
