Iges import

Another nice problem from Italy.
I would like to import in Catia a model made with 3dsmax.
To do this I export 3dsmax model to iges format and the result is a file.cls
I open with Catia this file but window error say " extension not valid or incompatible"

What is a .cls file?

I think the only IGES files that CATIA will read is an .igs file.

no, I'm not familiar with 3DS MAX.
