Default BOM and Parts lists

I used to be able to copy a drawing file from one project to another, having it reference the same assembly name in the new project and updating the parts list on the drawing accordingly, now I am getting a Missing BOM View? Do I have to delete all the balloons and parts list and redo them in the new project drawing? Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Check whether you have enable the Parts Only view in the assembly file.

It is possible to copy a dwg file from one folder to another as same name with no error for BOM. So simply save as the drawing file with the same name in another folder.
