Default Error while projecting to assembly

While trying to project a sketch on part in a sub. I get this error.

"Cross-part projection failed because the sketch is in a part which is adaptive in another assembly"

I have projected other sketches to this part without problems, and projected from this part. I have turned off every thing adaptive. Any suggestions?

Based on the error message, the problem still sounds like an attempt to be adaptive in more than one place. Could you double-check the adaptivity flag? You might want to edit the part in place, go to Documentation Settings, and make sure the Adaptively Used in Assembly is unchecked in Modeling tab.
