Default Minimum distance between components.

I am trying to find the minimum distance between two parts in an assembly. Is there a tool or command that would help me with this function. The parts are irregularly shaped.

Cool Tools > Measure Distance...

Hello dias_ryan,

Welcome to the 3DCADTips Inventor Forum!

In Inventor 11 while in the assembly, select Tools > Measure Distance and select the two components. Use the pick filter to select sub-assemblies, parts or faces. A preview line representing the distance measured is displayed. You will need geometry to select to measure from. If you don't have the desired location to select, you'll have to create it in each part.

Good luck!
