Default What file format is that?

I see that this post has been up for a while without a reply. I'll try to help. What file format is the Illustrator vector files? What file extensions do they have (e.g., *.dwg, *.igs, *.jpg, etc).

Try exporting DXF files then import them while in an Extrude, Spin, Sweep, etc. command.
