pro e wildfire 3 upgrade path loss

I upgraded from Wildfire 2 into Wildfire 3 - I have a large assembly with many subassemblies. Seems that now opening the top assy in Wildfire 3 it doesn't know the path to all the hardware and other insertions in many of the subassemblies. I have to hunt them down each time I open the file, and then after saving it doesn't remember - so I guess I have to open every subassembly and teach it the path to all its inserted parts - anybody know a shorter means to solve this?
