Surfaces in ProE 2001

I am trying to mate surfaces in pro E for two different solid models but for some reason the models are not mating correctly. I have tried query select and selecting different surfaces but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

are u refering to the surface module or assembly module?

maybe you need to describe a bit more detail..
