Default Angled Text wrapped around a cylinder

Some what similar to an aluminum can, I have a cylindrical object, and I want to wrap text around it - easy enough with the 'wrap' feature, but I would like to angle an entire word, not just individual letters. (the individual letters rotate, when you hit the Rotate button in the text editor.) Is this possible? (I tried with no luck rotating the sketch plane that the text was on - didn't work, but I'm thinking this is the right track.)

On the sketch with your text you need to simply draw a line at the angle you want. In the SKETCH TEXT window select that line under "curves." If you want to wrap only the text and not the guide curve then make it a constuction line.

Under Sketch Tools use the Modify command to rotate the sketch to whatever angle you need.

You can also have the text follow a path ... a sketched (construction) line or curve.
