Question Custom holenotes

Is there a way to create custom holenotes? Our company has a very specific way of detailing a hole (which is not any kind of standard that I'm familiar with). I've found a file "txcalloutformat.txt" and it appears to contain the information that I want to modify, but alas, when I DO make changes to it, they are not reflected in the drawing. I've tried to make a change to the file, re-launch Solidworks and even re-booting the computer. Nothing seems to make a difference.

Also, If indeed the notes CAN be modified, is there a listing somewhere of what the proper syntax is? The only thing I can find is in the TXT file itself which is just a list of "Swift Callout Variables".

Any help in this direction would be GREATLY appreciated!

Joe

It's amazing that this topic appears to be jumping up all over the place right now.

Check out this link:

Best of luck!

I wrote two articles about this now:

SolidWorks Legion » Drill and Tap; and calloutmethod.txt (Part 1)
SolidWorks Legion » Drill and Tap; and calloutmethod.txt (Part 2)
