Question File Size

Hi,

We did one solidworks part which has 1625 features and has 71 external references. The size file is 763MB. But the same part modeled in unigraphics is around 250MB in size. Can any one anser why the file size is less in unigraphics while in solidworks is more?

If we use more external references, is file size increase?

Thanks in advance.

Mahi.

There could be several reasons, from modelling methodology employed to which version you are using. Which version of SW are you using?
