Default Read only files

How do I change some files from "read only" back to normal? I don't have a current license.

I'm assuming that your referring to Solidworks part, assembly and drawing files and that they are not in a PDM vault, if so then it should be just a matter of locating the files in your browser , right clicking to properties and clicking the read only box off in the attributes area at the bottom.
