Default XYZ Coordinates

I have a solid model of a knife. I wish to get the xy coordinates of the points which make up the airfoils over the span (z-direction) of the blade, i.e. at 5, 10 or 15 meters from the root of the blade. I wish to be able to extract these coordinates into a data file for instance? I have the original *.igs file which is converted into a *.sldprt file. Can any one explain me to export a SolidWorks solid part into XYZ coordinates?

Try adding points where you want them, then export? I hope it will solve your problem.
