float wire - setting keys

I have set up a float wire for the eyelids of a character so when rotating the upper lid, the lower rotates as well in the opposite direction! it´s working fine, except that I do not seem to be able to set keys, neither manually nor with auto key! can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
