Cool The issues are numerous but not insurmountable

When developing implementation strategies for 3D Solid Modeling technology, the issues are numerous, but not insurmountable nor unintelligible with proper assistance and support.

Although it is not necessary that management understand 3D Solid Modeling technology to a depth equal to that of a designer, it is essential that they base their decisions on such knowledge.

Management can effectively leverage its knowledge by employing the expertise of outside analysts and consultants in the from of suggestions and recommendations on which to base their decisions concerning implementation strategies.

No CAD/CAM/CAE system implementation is perfect including 3D Solid Modeling, nor are the people or organizations who develop, sell, support, operate, and manage them. Fortunately, to be truly productive, perfection is not required of the system or of the people involved with it.

Other than appropriate technology, there are only two absolutely essential prerequisites for CAD/CAM/CAE system productivity.

They are:
  1. good information
  2. good management.
If you are not satisfied with your systems productivity, you must look both inward and outward for the solutions.
