Cool Sub-division saves time

Source:
Dr. Richard Lowrey, Mechanical Engineering Consultant

A complex solid model can often be subdivided into logical regions called constructions. Each construction can be individually modeled and then combined to achieve the final solid. Dividing the model into logical regions can save 50% of modeling time and 80% of editing time. Please note however that smooth continuous surfaces should not be broken in the subdivision process.
