Default Constraints

I'm quite new to Autodesk Inventor and to CAD. I'm unsure of what constraints to set to get my model to work.
I have a frame with four rods that go through 4 equally spaced holes and don't know what constraint to set for the rods to go through the holes.
I also have cams that have rods protruding, I want to have this slide in the slot as shown in the picture. I've simply constrained the rods to one end of the slot at the moment.

I've attached a picture of it. There is one of the rods at the back and the hole that it needs to slide through. Near the top right corner is the rod in the slot that I want to slide in the slot. The idea is to raise the frame with the rods up as the cams rotate.

I basically need to know how to have a rod slide in a hole; I have only worked out how to have a rod rotate in a hole. And I need to know how to have a rod slide in a slot and stop at the ends of the slot.
How would I go about this?

Thanks, Anthony
