Cool Tip: ASP Translator Accuracy

Find out how the accuracy of the data is being verified by the host ASP. Different 3D CAD application kernels can store geometry data in the following different ways:

Different mathematical assumptions
Different limits for surface degrees
Different methods for trimming curves within tolerance
Different methods determining topology that is within tolerance (e.g., points to edges and edges to faces)

Become comfortable with host ASP's methods for accuracy checking. Ask what types of accuracy mismatch conditions they consider acceptable and make sure they are acceptable to you.
