Project 3d elements not working

Hi

I have a problem with projecting 3d elements. I have an assembly, many parts, one of the parts has a feature that when I edit the sketch of, it does not let me project 3d elements onto it. Other sketches within this part work ok, it's just this one sketch.
The sketch is the first feature of this part. Other than that, I cannot see any other problems.

Can anyone help here?
