I want to create a mold cavity for a part. What is procedure to subtract one part from another.
 
Derive the assembly that has the parts. (Select derived component command and choose the assembly) In the derived dialog, choose(-) to subtract a specific part.
 
From Mold to Part?

I want to create a mold cavity for a part. What is procedure to subtract one part from another.

I have a mold pattern of a part (*.iges). I want to make a part from the mold, How can I do this?? Inventor 2008 newbie.
