Can anyone help me with how I adjust the starting point of a curve with a script?

I'm looking through the documentation but it does not seem obvious.

Sorry, should probably have been more specific.

I have a curve. The starting point is not th eone that I want.

I need to be able to specify one of the other points on the curve to be the starting point.
