I am an inventor and have previously had to contract out CAD work. I would like to start doing CAD work myself as it would be invaluable. I however, have no hands on experience with any CAD software. I understand there is modeling software such as AutoCAD and Rhino and then there are supplemental programs such as bongo and penguin etc. I am looking for any direction as to where I should start- what program to purchase. I study business administration at a university and noticed Rhino offers generous discounts to students. I also read Rhino is very user friendly. I understand AutoCAD is not as easy but more common? Anyways, any advice/ recommendations on what program(s) to start with would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
