separating points from surfaces

Hello, i have a tons of surfaces with points in the same place, i would like to select only the points, but if i select the space it selects points and the surfaces.
I dont want to select the points by hand one by one ( they are thouthands).
I was wondering if there is a way for only selecting all the points and not the surfaces?
