How to create an half section in drafting?

Hi to all,
I want to know how to create a half section. I have a shaft part and I want a cross section showing only the upper or lower section and the part centerline. One more thing, is there an option to show just the area cut by the section plane.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Callum,
If you want showing only the sectioned area, go to preferences->view display->choose the view->toggle the section view button->uncheck background.
I hope it is helpful.

Hi Callum,

There's a 'Half-Section' command you can use to achieve that.
To hide the non-section areas, MB3 the section view and choose 'style'.
Select the section tab and toggle off the 'background' option.
