Can Rhino help with mechanical, HVAC design?

I work as a MEP designer, with a focus in mechanical and HVAC. I mainly use Revit with Dynamo for scripting. I have a background working with Maya.

I've been attending automation meetings with the other groups in my office, including; structural, audio and lighting engineers. They all operate in Rhino and Grasshopper. It looks and sounds like a lot of fun. I'd really like to learn Rhino. I'm wondering if there's a way That I could apply Rhino to mechanical engineering tasks?

Thank you for your thoughts.
