Rhinoceros spatial orientation of a geometry parallel to a cartesian plane

Hello, I have to fix a cutting plane to a mesh and orient the overall to a cartesian plane e.g. zy. I don't know how to do it because trying to use the "move" command my mesh loose some control points. Please help me to find a way to fix the centre of the structure mesh+cutting plane to the cartesian plane and align also the axes.

Thank you...video and tutorials are welcome.

If you have a picture, I can help you.

You can try by using and creating a rectangular plane and orient it using the Gumball. The gumball pivot can be moved using the control Key.
