Converting from CATIA to .jt

I have been trying to find the answer to this but there doesn't seem to be much help anywhere. What are the steps necessary to go from a CATIA .CATProduct to a .jt file? I can't do a straight translation and I'm confused as to what the intermediate steps are. I'm looking for some method that doesn't require an outside company's help, a.k.a free. I appreciate any help. Thanks
