Hi all,

first, sorry for my english.

I've got a demo version of VX CAD but I don't know how make
break out view in drawings like inventor.

Thank you in advance

Marco

Hello Marco,

What are you referring to as a "break-out" view? Can you provide an example? I know that VX CAD does support the following types of drawing layout views:
  • Standard View (Top, Front, Side, etc.)
  • Projection View (1st and 3rd angle projections from another view)
  • Auxiliary View (projected perpendicular from an edge on another view)
  • Section Views (Full, Aligned, Revolved, Bent sections defined from another view)
  • Detail Views (Scaled Circular and Rectangular views from another view)
Does the view you need fit any of these criteria?

Thanks.

Hi,

I try to explain :)

It's when you want to section only a region with a hole not entire part.

If you want I post an image.

Thank you

Marco

How VX does it.

Hello Marco,

Here is how you do it in VX:

In the drafting module, I assume that you have a layout of a 3D part.
  1. Select Insert > 3D View > Sections
  2. In the options form under Required Inputs, select "Revolved"
  3. Select the side view with the hole.
  4. Select the base point so that you are on the centerline of the hole.
  5. Pick vertical.
  6. Adjust the Base arrow or the Align arrow so you are not sectioning all the way through the part.
Let me know if you need images.
Good Luck!

thank you in advance

You can insert the break out view in ZW3D 2012 SP2

It used to be VX, not it has a new name ZW3D, if you get the up-to-date ZW3D 2011 SP2, you can get the break out view during the 2D sheet, I hope the information is helpful for you.
