Hello everyone,

we are a group of Mechanical Enginereeing student. We have to create the 3D model from a STL file using the reverse enginereeing process.

Here are three views of the file:

-up: http://imageshack.com/a/img850/5981/kjdh.png

Laboriously we managed to get to this point but we do not know how to rebuild the central layer and the excavation at the top.

Here are three views of what we have done:

Any suggestion?

Thank you all

Multibody

Hi magiox,

If I have understand your issue, I think you can use the multibody of solidworks.

1) Just make a new part and model the central body you want.

2) In the main file insert the central body file (Insert / part.

3) Place the central body where you need

4) Insert / features / combine and flag the ADD option

That's all

Try to take a look here for more informations about multibody, especially the part about the wrench.
