Importing .pts file to do revolve

apekzhrk

I have a matlab code that creates a set of points to make a curve (im trying to make something similar to a bottle).

first i did
Insert>model datum>points>offset coordinates system then imported the .pts

then i did
Insert>model datum>curve>thru points
this made the curve thru the points from the matlab code.

When I try to revolve this however, I get an error about geometric entity (sorry can't remember and not in front of the comp with pro e).

Can someone help me revolve this? Or is there another way to use the .pts to make the curve and revolve.
thanks in advance
