importing/opening a .obj or .blend file in CATIA V5

Anyone has any idea or trick how to do it?

I have a geometry which is in a .blend and .obj format and I need to import it into CATIA to clear up the geometry and do some CFD on it. Any suggestions?

Cheers.

So now I have other file options. I have it in .stl and 3ds...anyone has an idea how to convert it to iges or step?

I've tried rhino but it crashes close to finishing the export to iges.

If anyone wants a go I can send the file.

Importing obj

In CATIA V5 R21 in the "Imagine and shape" workbench there is an option - "IMPORT SUBDIVISION" inside "CREATION TOOLBAR". Allows you to import meshes and convert them to surface.

converting obj files to step

after "import subdivision surface", you can "save as" cat.part, step, iges etc

Hi camurilo, do ya know how to insert the Icon "IMPORT SUBDIVISION"? I´m using "imagine and shape" and I have the "creation toolbar", but not the Icon "IMPORT SUBDIVISION". Maybee I need to activate a special license??? Just have no idea :(
