Screw thread

ste

New member
Hello,

I've made a corkscrew (see attachement) in solidedge and I would like to animate it.
However there is a problem: or it doesn't converge or there is a problem with the kinematic constraints.
For the relations in assembly: I've taken an axial align between the long vertical rod and the horizontal rod on top, so four degrees of freedom are removed. Maybe there has to be removed one more degree of freedom because of the link between rotation and translation when using screw thread, but I don't know how to do. Can someone help me?
Thanks.

For the record, mine are 1/4-32 UNEF, only because I already
had the tooling

Though I did make the crankshaft thread on the R250 1/4" BSF
as per the original Oliver.
