Constraining dimensions of part used in a linear components pattern in a top down des

Say an assembly with 2 parallel surfaces or planes 12 inches apart.

Say a part (cube) of x inches wide.

I want to create a linear component pattern of the 4 identical cubes.

I want to constrain the distance between the individual cubes and between the cubes and the parallel surface then get Solidworks to resize the cube to comply with the constraint…

Is this possible? What’s the simplest way of accomplishing this?
