How can I make a contact constrain (or joint) between a cylinder's base and "non-regular" surface. When I try to select the surface i only selects the planar or cylindrical zone of that surface, thus resulting on a "virtual contact" just on an imaginary cylinder or plan...I somehow need to "merge" all those surfaces into one...

You might have to JOIN all the surfaces into a single surface.

If you have the option, choose FEDERATE ALL from the Join panel.

Helio...

Assembly Constraints in CATIA are limited to ruled surfaces only (plane, cylinder or cone surfaces).

This might be causing the problem with your joint constraint?

Thats right Mr.CATIA..
I had that problem but overcomed it by using a point to curve joint, which did the job!!Thankx!
