Create template

Hello, I'm quite new to this template stuff (knowledge template)! As far as I have understood you're creating a part, with some elements or geometry that is going to be used as the input. And those input elements are used to kind of orient the template that you are inserting in another product! But the thing is that I can't chose any geometry or reference element that I wan't,, so what I essentially wonder is, how do you make those elements choosable?

And as I said, I'm new to this thing. So if there are something that's not correct of what I said, please tell me!
