Excel based Bill Of Materials

Hi there

I want to make use of the Excel based bill of materials.

Steps I undertake:

  1. Make Excel based bill of material in the drawing
  2. Edit the BOM (it opens now in excel)
  3. copy all the data
  4. Open new excel document and do a "Paste link"
  5. save the document
If I update my solidworks file and resave the updated drawing and finally open the bom I get following message (see picture):

this workbook contains links to one or more external sources that use DDE (dynamic data exchange) that maybe unsafe and have been disabled.

After clicking ok, the file did not update.

Also if I open the excel file the first time it asks me if the file can be trusted. I always choose "Yes"

Anyone here that can solve my issue?
