Help, with eccentric cam mates

Hello,
I'm learning to use SolidWorks i can't seem to mate the eccentric cam in my work.
When I say eccentric cam I mean a circle off set on a shaft rotating in another part which has a circle in it with a slightly bigger diameter.

I'm really stuck when I try to mate them with the cam mate it comes up with an error message.

Can anyone help?

without seeing the model i'm going to guess it has to do with the cam profile. SW is kind of picky. Another thing you can do is use path profile mate for more advanced profile shapes. There are some good tutorials on youtube of it.
