How do I add text to dimension line at a smaller size??

KWIK LRNR

I know that after I use the command dimlinear, specify first extension line origin: , then specify second extension line origin: , I can then type text: <>\X (text under dimension line) to get text placed under the dimension line. MY QUESTION IS. IS THERE A WAY TO MAKE THE TEXT I ADD UNDER THE DIMENSION LINE TO BE SMALLER THAN THE TEXT SIZE USE FOR THE DIMENSION ITSELF. ALL IN ONE SHOT
