How to avoid Non-Manifold Geometry

Hi there,

I am designing a wing which is cut out of a box for a CFD simulation. The CFD software I use requires the .stl file in ASCII format. If I load my stl file into CFD and try to message I get the Warning that my geometry is non-manifold. I run a check in SolidWorks but everything appears to be fine. I also have no idea how to fix this issue. I have used MeshLab and Slic3r already hoping that I can repair my geometry. But I was not successful so far. I was wondering how the geometry cannot be manifold as solidWorks doesnt seem to have any issues with it. Are there any tips how I can avoid creating a non-manifold geometry?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!
