How to wrap or project a shape onto a sphere?

Hi guys,

I am an ex Unigraphics (suppose to be NX now) and Catia user that decided to learn Solidworks :)

Just wondering that how can I wrap a shape on a sphere or non-flat surface? I also would love to know how to project it to a non-flat surface etc.

It can be a simple example...
