pattern a pocket or pad on a non-plan curve

If the curve is planar, you can create a sketch of points on the curve and then use a User Defined Pattern to copy the Pad or Pocket.

If the curve is not planar, you can create several points on the curve and then use a Translate Transformation to copy the Pad/Pocket, one at a time. A Power Copy would be helpful.

There might be a macro to do this that someone wrote and shared on the web. I couldn't find one with a simple search, but I'll post a link if I do find something.

thank you. i cant use translation or power copy because i need 1000 pattern!
