Problems with a complex organic part

paralaxed

New member
Hello,

I'm hoping someone might be able to help. I'm trying to produce a smooth, organic, flowing part from three different shapes on three different planes - see drawing for details - http://danusiskin.com/alu.jpg

I already have the 3 different shapes in position on their respective planes, but trying to form a smooth curved surface with that sharp flat edge is proving a difficult. Any thoughts for a solution?

Look forward to hearing your thoughts,

Thanks,

Dan

Use loft option and with proper guide curves you should be able to make the shape. Make sure all the cross section sketches (i.e. 1, 2 and 3) have equal nos. of entities.

Not possible with three Profiles that are not "inline".

Try to make a "base"-loft and then cut away what you dont need to get the sharp edges.

Or upload the file that you have and i´ll do the rest for you - if you like.

Or email me ----> [email protected]
