Section view shows 'ghost' parts, making selection difficult

Hello All,

There seems to be an odd problem in SolidWorks section view (3D view, not 2D drawing), where the software picks up 'ghost' images of parts which are not there when trying to select surfaces etc. I have had this across many versions of SolidWorks and different computers.

Does anyone know if it's possible to prevent this? Or is it inherent to SolidWorks?
