Squared helix

Hello guys! I would be glad if some of you could help me trying to draw a wire around a rectangular profile as its shown in the image attached. Ive been thinking to draw and helix and project it somehow but due to the fact that helix has cylindrical shape I don't know how could I make it around the rectangular profile...



Any suggestion?
